Our restaurant, pub and hotel is absolutely steeped in history and has been here for centuries. From The Bell being reputedly haunted by a lady called Kitty Canham who was married to the Vicar of St Michael’s Church opposite, Alexander Gough in the 1700’s to a devastating fire which completely burned the roof down in 1999. Our bar is fully stocked with all of your favourite soft drinks, snacks, beers, wines and spirits. Our chefs in the kitchen are passionate about serving beautiful and delicious dishes for our visitor’s. They put 110% into everything that leaves our kitchen and it really shows in the flavour and presentation of our meals. Our menu has been catered to suit everybody’s tastes including children. Our rooms are kept in tip top shape and are cleaned daily. You can choose to have breakfast in the morning or to just rent the room for the night. They are located just upstairs from where the dining area and bar is so you can enjoy your meal and a few drinks and then head up to bed in the evening.

If you would like to speak to one of our team then please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We always recommend letting us know before coming down if you have a large party joining us for a meal. Just to avoid disappointment. If you haven’t visited us before then don’t forget to check out the map at the bottom of the page which shows our location. There is plenty of parking available so no need to worry about where you are going to leave your car.
