Located in the county of Essex, our football club was formed in 1947 as Little Oakley War Memorial. There was actually evidence of a football club formed around the first world war here but it wasn’t the current club. Today, we have numerous teams for all kinds of age ranges. The Little Oakley first team compete in the Essex Senior League as well as other major competitions such as the FC Cup and FA Vase. Then we have the Little Oakley Reserves who play in the Essex and Suffolk Border Premier League. Beyond that, we pride ourselves on being a fantastic kids football club. We even launched a full-time football academy for 16-19 year olds. There are U18’s teams and then it goes all the way down to U7’s teams.
Football Club And Kids Football Club Essex
Our approach is that we want everyone to be able to get involved if they want to. Age is just a number remember. But if you find yourself unable to keep up with the youth then we have a great option for you. Every Wednesday and Friday at 11:00am you can join us for a slice of the beautiful game at a slower pace. Our Walking Football training and coaching sessions are aimed at the over 50’s for both men and women to get exercise, improve their skills and to just have a laugh. Get in touch with us to find out more.
If you are looking for a kids football club for your little ones or want to get involved yourself then head down and see us or get in touch and speak to one of our team.
You can find a great timeline of the history of our football club in Tendring right here – History. See how we played through the leagues since before the 1950’s!
